    I spent years feeling misunderstood and that I didn’t fit in. It came apparent that I had no idea how to talk about my emotions and why I felt the way I did. After spending a lot of my early life struggling I finally reached out for help.

    Since then I have retained and now able to understand and support people on a deeper level.

    I have the ability to deeply connect with those I work with. I have a keen interest in human behaviours and personal growth which helps in creating sustainable change in peoples lives. I have gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise running and facilitating work shops for men, women & teenagers in Australia and the UK.

    I love working with young people and really getting to know what their needs are and how they can be met. I truly believe investing into our youth has never been so important than it is today.

    My story is very simple, after a troubled upbringing that continued into my adult life I eventually figured out the one thing that was stopping me healing from my past experiences, was that I didn't love myself.

    Now things have changed, my life is now living proof that no matter how hard life gets you always have a choice. You just have to choose wisely. My biggest reason for creating this program with Mike was I don't want another young person to go down the road I travelled. I’m committed to having a positive impact on the youth of today.

    I have many years facilitating safe space for those that need it. Being a Father of two boys i’ve seen first hand how this work has positively affected their growth.

  • Melissa Riley

    HOLISTIC CLINICAL NUTRITIONIST -

    My name is Melissa Riley, I’m a Holistic Clinical Nutritionist and Education Assistant with a focus on optimising nutrition and preventing disease.

    My nutrition journey began 10 years ago, when I myself was struggling with disordered eating. This behavioural eating and intensive exercise routine, resulted in a variety of health issues and a need to completely change my diet. My mental health and physical well-being were deteriorating and this is when I threw myself into researching evidence-based medicine and a plant-based diet. I started eating intuitively, making sure I consumed foods which supported my mental health, hormones and nutritional needs.

    With my years of experience working in classrooms as an Education Assistant, I have seen the affect poor nutrition plays in children’s mental health, behaviour and overall well-being.

    In fact, with proper nutrition, a student can strive in an educational based environment and regulate their emotions more effectively.

    My nutrition program will focus on four key areas; the effects of a poor diet, diet related disease, the role nutrients play within the body and how to optimise nutrition.

    Through these modules, my mission is for children and young adults to become their own health advocates and continue healthy habits throughout their life.

  • Colin Matthew & Sam Moland

    SELF DEFENCE / MINDFUL MOVEMENT COACH AND CO-FOUNDER OF JMA -

    Colin Luthwood and Sam Moland are the co-owner of one of the top ranked Martial Arts academies in Western Australia, Joondalup Martial Arts (JMA). With nearly 40 years experience combined teaching all ages they bring a wealth of knowledge for personal protection techniques, combat and life skills. As well as mentoring young students to achieve their fullest potential. It can be particularly hard these days for children to navigate the transition from primary school to high school.  Helping our young people to understand their emotions allows them stay more centered in stressful situations.

    Holding a safe space to share and understand their fears without judgement gives them more tools to build confidence in themselves and their ability to handle the changing dynamics of their social environment.

    This will be a fun and interactive session incorporating martial arts while focusing on:

    * De-escalation and conflict resolution

    * Self Defence techniques

    * Mood moderation

    * Understanding emotions

    * Negative self talk

    * Imagery / Focusing on strengths

    * Goal Setting
